1991 Alfa Romeo Spider Veloce Automatic
This 1991 Alfa RomeoSpider Veloce was a top-of-the-line model, with
all options including the very rare automatic, 15-inch alloy
wheels, and power steering. This was the first year of Pininfarina's stunning
redesign of the Spider. This garaged and pampered car had only 40,500 miles
and is in excellent shape with Carfax verification. There are no dents, dings,
rust, or tears in the interior. The roof was brand new--a high-line, tan
cloth interior that looks amazing on the car! We also had a matching hardtop...
The last owner installed an incredible Pioneer CD stereo with
removable face, remote control, an amp and a subwoofer. The easily removed
subwoofer takes half the trunk but it's quite a stereo! You can hear the
music clearly with the top down and wind in your hair... The automatic transmission
and low mileage made this a real collector's item; it is the lowest mileage
automatic Spider I've seen. An equivalent new Spider would now be $35,000
+... if they still imported them, which they don't (Alfa may, hopefully,
reintroduce the Spider here in 2004). I was very glad this car sold to a
local gentleman who had owned two others, the latest a 1982, but really needed
an automatic now. The pictures below are a good introduction to the car.
The pretty girl was not included when he bought the car... but he had his
own lovely lady to copilot the car!
Below, pictures of the trunk with the subwoofer and owner's manuals;and
without, showing the full-size spare, jack, etc.
...and here are the suede leather seats, no tears and very little wear
at all (carpets are mint). The engine runs great!!!
Here's the dash, showing 35,000 miles and change; from the top, you can
see the excellent, clean interior, the removable rear tonneau cover, and
the completely straight body (as well as the great alloy wheels).
The hardtop:
Closeup of a wheel... these "cookie cutter" 15-inch wheels are the ones
to have!
